GF Travels-Japan-LP-EN

Now serving: Tokyo, Japan

Chef Jordana’s culinary adventures recently took her to Tokyo, Japan, a city that blends centuries-old traditions with bold, modern flavours. From sizzling ramen shops to vibrant markets filled with the freshest local produce, she immersed herself in the art of Japanese cooking. Along the way, she picked up beloved recipes, cooking techniques, and a deeper appreciation for the harmony and balance at the heart of Japanese cuisine.

Now, she’s bringing those discoveries home. Chef Jordana has re-imagined her favourite Tokyo dishes using fresh, local-to-you ingredients, sourcing from Canadian farms whenever possible, so you can experience authentic Japanese flavours right from your own kitchen.

Think silky broths, hearty noodles, perfectly seasoned sauces, and satisfying, umami-packed meals that feel both new and familiar. Each recipe captures the spirit of Tokyo while staying true to Goodfood’s promise: delicious, accessible meals made with care.

Now serving: Everywhere, France

There’s something magical about the way France brings food to life. From bustling street markets to candlelit bistros, the country celebrates flavour in every detail. When we asked our Head Chef, Jordana Rebner, about dipping into French cooking, her mind went straight to the comforts of French home cooking: a buttery baguette torn by hand, ripe tomatoes still warm from the sun, and delicate herbs like tarragon and thyme plucked fresh from the garden.

No matter where you go in France, mealtime is family time. Generations gather around the table not just to eat, but to connect. A pan of poulet au poivre sizzling on the stove or ratatouille bubbling gently in the oven sets the backdrop for laughter, stories and conversation. Meals are never rushed, they’re savoured, together.

Until the beginning of November, bring the spirit of French cooking to your kitchen with Goodfood Travels. Experience fresh ingredients, thoughtful techniques, and comforting flavours that turn everyday meals into something special.

GF Travels-Italy-LP-EN

Previously visited: Florence, Italy

You didn’t think we’d skip over Italy, did you?   Celebrated worldwide for its simple yet bold flavours and approachable recipes, Italian cuisine consistently ranks number one. From spaghetti and meatballs to lasagna and fettucini alfredo, the Italian American classics are beloved—but they’re just the beginning of what Italian cuisine has to offer.

With so many incredible culinary stops to choose from, Chef Jordana Rebner set her sights on Florence—the birthplace of the Renaissance. In fact, the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with treasures, including the breathtaking Duomo, Michelangelo’s famous David sculpture and, of course, a food and wine scene as rich as Florence’s history.

Guided by the mouth-watering flavours and fresh ingredients of Florence, Chef Jordana has crafted four satisfying recipes that invite our members to step outside their Italian comfort zone. Who knows? They could bump lasagna and spaghetti from their throne as your home’s Italian favourites.

GF Travels-LP-Greece-EN

Previously visited: Santorini, Greece

If you’re anything like us, the mere mention of Greece conjures dreamy images of whitewashed houses, bright blue skies, and the bright sun sparkling across a turquoise sea. This is Santorini—a Greek island perched in the southern Aegean Sea, and it’s every bit as magical as it sounds.

Not just a feast for the eyes, Santorini serves up some of the best Greek food you can imagine. Characterized by fresh, local ingredients and simple yet vibrant flavours, the cuisine here is as unforgettable as the sunsets. Think succulent grilled meats, freshly caught seafood and seasonal vegetables. Greece is also the birthplace of one of our all-time favourites: feta cheese, which is believed to be the very first cheese ever made.

So, when we were planning our Goodfood Travels series, it stands to reason that we’d included a stop in iconic Santorini, Greece. Goodfood Head Chef, Jordana Rebner, has put together four fun & hearty Greek-inspired recipes you can prepare in your very own Canadian kitchen.

GF Travels-LP-Portugal-EN

Previously visited: Lisbon, Portugal

Portugal has become an increasingly popular travel destination. Lisbon is a particularly hot spot with breathtaking views of the Tagus River and iconic landmarks to explore including Pena Palace and Jeronimos Monastery. While many travel blogs laud the country’s wine—which we’re 100% behind—they tend to sidestep the *chef’s kiss* cuisine.
Portugal’s food culture has evolved over the centuries, blending bold flavours and fresh ingredients with culinary influences from Africa, Asia, and the Americas. The result? Comforting, satisfying dishes with wide-reaching global roots and a distinctly Portuguese spirit.
